Sculptor Application

  • This is an outdoor event.
  • The Sculpture Challenge is now open to all media.
  • Sculptors should indicate if medium is acceptable for exterior or interior only.
  • All sculpture must be priced and available for sale.
  • Sculptors handle their own sales and pay a commission of 20% to PAWS if sold on event day.
  • Sculptors are responsible for their own taxes (sales tax rate for Hays County at this location is 7%).
  • In keeping each show fresh, please enter sculpture that has not been entered in earlier Sculpture
  • Challenges, if possible.
  • Sculptors may collaborate or use help from areas outside their expertise to produce their sculpture.
  • Sculpture that requires use of forklift must be in place at Carved Stone, Inc. no later than 5:00 PM, Friday March 2nd, 2012.
  • Sculpture not sold on March 3rd, 2012 may be picked up after the event during normal business hours
  • or left for sale with Carved Stone, if approved. Carved Stone will receive 30% commission when sold.
  • Carved Stone, Inc. has a 9,000 lbs capacity forklift to assist with loading and unloading.
  • Sculptor must be present to supervise and accepts all responsibility.
  • Sculptors and artists park to the back on the grounds of Carved Stone.
  • Entry is free to the challenge, one sculpture maximum.
  • Sculptors may exhibit other work for sale if an artist application is also submitted and approved. Work sold from artist booth is not liable for 20% commission.
  • Please submit sculptor applications by February 14th, 2012.
